Meet Liam Nichols!

Liam’s rugged good looks and anchorman voice have long been assets to the WOYL, and now he’s ready to lead.
Liam is a founding member of the club serving as VP Provincial for the past year. During that time, he helped President Parker Mackay coordinate the Provincial Election Campaign for Elizabeth Roy and in recent months helped set up the WOYL Press. He has long been a voice for the WOYL when there has been none, and has often provided that extra kick needed to get events going. In high school, he served as President of the Human Rights club, spearheading campaigns which generated over $300 in 5 months. He plans to release a comprehensive plan for the WOYL for 2012/2013, which will include budgetary activities, executive development and collaboration, inter-Young Liberal cooperation and a follow through on Mr. Bob Rae’s call for a UOIT/DC Young Liberal Association. He stands by a commitment for the WOYL to support the UOIT/DC students in forming a club, supporting them as they grow, and giving them the independence to work on their own terms – not on a mandate of the WOYL executive. He is a firm believer that if you build it, they will come – as long as they can find the signs.
Liam is currently studying English & Political Science at the University of Toronto and hopes one day to graduate.
